Full Stack Developer
Job description
Full stack developers are computer programmers who are proficient in both front and back-end coding and system configuration. Their primary responsibilities include designing user interactions on websites, configuring servers, and designing databases for website functionality, and coding for mobile platforms. They ensure that user interactions on web pages or mobile applications are intuitive and engaging. They also provide back-end functionality that operates optimally from any device or browser type commonly used today. The developer will work closely with both the project and software development departments of CPGO Software Solutions ltd delivering solutions for clients as well as the business.
Roles and Duties
- Developing both back-end and front end application architecture.
- Designing user interactions for applications
- Configuring servers that suit the architecture for applications
- Designing and configuring databases for functionality.
- Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.
- Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
- Working alongside graphic designers and client for visual design features.
- Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
- Designing and developing APIs.
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
- Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent;
- Ability to work methodically, estimate work effort and meet deadlines
- At least 2 years’ experience developing software
- Experience in programming languages such as ASP.Net, Java, C#, SQL
- Experience creating SOAP and RESTful APIs is an asset
- Keen knowledge and understanding of XML format is an advantage
- Experience using linux OS is an advantage
- Experience developing mobile apps for Android and/or iOS is an asset
- Adhering to Source code repository build and deployment process.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently where required
- Good vocal and written communication skills
- Experience in application systems integration of average to high complexity
- Exposure to networks, databases, operating systems, hardware and other IT environmental components for mainframe, midrange and PC based systems.
